Today, Microsoft released the "New Xbox Experience" software update for Xbox 360 that will totally revamp the console with a slew of new features, including Netflix HD streaming and the Xbox Live Party feature.

The Netflix HD streaming enables you to keep the proper aspect ratio for your movies, making them look noticeably better than they were on the standalone Roku Netflix Player. If you have a fast-enough Internet connection, you can get the 300 titles available in true high-definition - awesome!

The new software update also allows you to browse your game achievements much more easily than the old dashboard would allow you to. Additionally, you now have your choice of customizable-body avatars to represent yourself.

Plus, you can now download games to your Xbox's hard drive with the "New Xbox Experience" update installed, which can greatly reduce the noise coming from your DVD drive when playing such games like Fallout 3.
